Brivo Notices

December 7, 2023 – Okta Breach Statement

As you may be aware, Okta’s most recent security incident resulted in a small subset of their customers’ data being exposed. On Tuesday November 28th 2023, Brivo was notified that a small number of our internal employees were affected by the incident. We want to assure you that all customer data continues to remain secure and unaffected.

At Brivo, the security of our systems and customer information is our top priority. Although disappointing, we believe the risk of this exposure resulting in any material issues is extremely low. Brivo employees follow stringent security best practices, are well-trained in common phishing attempts, and can only log into sensitive systems using multi-factor authentication. While the exposed information was limited, we take this incident seriously and continue to monitor the situation for any updates.

We understand the importance of transparency with our customers. We want to assure you that we will keep you informed should anything change. If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to reach out to our security team at security@brivo.com.

May 7th 2020 – Brivo Working for You

For 20 years, we have been honored by the trust you have placed in our team to provide security for your facilities. In today’s challenging environment, we are extremely well prepared to help you maintain these mission critical services. Our teams are fully staffed and operational to support you as we closely monitor developments in order to make any adjustments that are required.

All of us at Brivo are concerned about the safety and well-being of our families, colleagues, customers, partners and friends who make up Brivo’s extended global family. We are immensely grateful for the healthcare workers and first responders on the frontlines of this crisis.

We are very humbled by commitment, resilience and compassion shown by our employees, customers and partners in these difficult times. As we navigate through the present challenges, we lean on our fundamental principles of continuous innovation and a relentless focus on caring for our customers and our people.

As a testament to the commitment and innovation Brivo drives, we created the Brivo Data Index which maps the change in average access events by state and industry in the U.S. Workplace attendance trends are leading indicators of economic output and we hope to soon see the downward trend reverse and help predict the return to daily use of commercial properties.

March 24, 2020 – Impact Statement on Business Operations

As promised, we planned to keep you updated on the Brivo response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a Maryland-based company, the Governor issued new guidelines (COVID19-04) regarding the closing of “non-essential businesses.”  The guidance exempts certain types of businesses and Brivo falls into several exempt categories, including both “The Commercial Facilities Sector” and “The Information Technology Sector.”

As of March 24, our Bethesda, Maryland office location will be open to essential personnel only.  We can confirm we are able to continue operations in full compliance with the order as an exempt business.

We will continue to monitor this situation and adapt if needed as the situation continues to evolve. We are committed to the Brivo mission to provide Simply Better Security and that does not stop in times like this.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact us by email at customercare@brivo.com or by phone at +1.866.692.7486.

We wish you, your colleagues and families safety, wellness and positivity during these challenging times.

Impact Statement on Business Operations

Brivo has been monitoring the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and keeping up to date as the situation evolves. We are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of everyone in the Brivo community and will continue to manage the business forward.

We continue to review the potential impacts of COVID-19 on our business operations, including government-mandated quarantines, limitations on travel for Brivo personnel, the potential for limitations on employee availability and possible impacts on key suppliers. We are committed to executing our business continuity plans that address the delivery and support of our products and services on a continuing basis. As we monitor ongoing global developments, we will continue to implement government recommended best practices to mitigate the risks related to COVID-19.

At this time, Brivo does not anticipate significant material impacts on our business obligations due to the contingencies we have in place, including remote operations capabilities and enhancements to our office safety protocols. We are in contact with our key suppliers on a regular cadence to assess changing conditions within the global supply chain. Some hardware suppliers have expressed concerns about future availability, but they have not provided specific information on expected shortages at this point in time. We have also taken steps to increase our inventory for the core Brivo products.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact us by email at customercare@brivo.com or by phone at +1.866.692.7486.

Moving Forward

We will continue to monitor this situation and adapt if needed as the situation evolves. We are committed to the Brivo mission to provide Simply Better Security and that does not stop in times like this.

We wish you, your colleagues and families safety, wellness and positivity during these challenging times.
